We are honored to feature Chef Jungsuk “Sue” Kim, owner and executive chef of The Magpie. A native of Seoul, Korea, Chef Sue developed her craft through years of study and hands-on experience across the Pacific Rim before opening The Magpie on San Antonio’s Eastside in 2020, followed by The Golden Goose in 2024. Known for a “freestyle” approach rooted in fresh, locally sourced ingredients, she was named Chef of the Year 2026 by CultureMap’s Tastemakers and is a 2026 James Beard Foundation semifinalist for Best Chef: Texas.
At the October 27 event, guests can gather on the Brown Foundation Sculpture Terrace for an elegant, family-style dinner, and enjoy meaningful connections with fellow museum members, patrons, and community leaders as we celebrate the creative exchange between the visual and culinary arts.
Artfully Served is more than an event. It’s a celebration of creativity, community, and the transformative power of art and food shared together.
