Celebrate the McNay Art Museum’s 70th anniversary with our inaugural Summer Film Series! This year marks seven decades since the McNay first opened its doors, and we’re honoring this milestone by showcasing iconic films from 1954.
The first film of the Samurai Trilogy, directed by Hiroshi Inagaki, follows the journey of Takezo, a wild and brash young man who, after surviving the Battle of Sekigahara, begins his transformation into a disciplined and honorable samurai.
