About the Artist
At the heart of Clair Aleece Ceramics is a love for handcrafted goods that serve as a tactile nostalgia, blending art and utility through heritage belongings in a way that makes even the smallest moments feel special.
Founded by Clair Aleece, a passionate artist who has spent over a decade creating in Central Texas, Clair gains inspiration from her mother and grandmother’s kitchen cupboards. She remembers cherishing staple items passed down through generations; small juice glasses, traditional tea sets, and rice bowls serving as a reminder that daily items become core memories. Her practice focuses on wheel thrown and hand building stoneware techniques. This versatile approach to the craft leads to collections that feel authentic and bespoke.
Each collection presented within Clair Aleece Ceramics reflects her own sentimentality, translating cherished childhood memories and the essence of life into these handcrafted forms. Named after the places where these memories came to life, each piece serves as a vessel of reminiscence, inviting you to intentionally reflect upon the new stories unfolding within your homes and businesses. A reminder that daily items become memories within spaces that are so dear to us, laying a baseline for memories of shared meals, familiar spaces, a comfort as we reflect on our lives, our families, and our connection to home.
