Each year, selected special exhibitions and their related programs are sponsored by individuals, corporations, and foundations. In appreciation of exhibition sponsorships, the names of the donors are listed on a panel that is displayed in the exhibition while it is on view at the McNay.

Immersed: Local to Global Art Sensations
Fifty years ago, San Antonio made its mark internationally by hosting HemisFair ’68. Visitors experienced paintings, outdoor sculpture, murals, performing arts, and film from around the world. In keeping with that spirit of openness, confluence, and discovery, this summer the McNay presentsImmersed: Local to Global Art Sensations. We would be honored to have you join us on the Exhibition Host Committee.
Immersive, environmental installations by internationally celebrated artists Yayoi Kusama and Philip Worthington, a film created by Andy Warhol for Hemisfair ’68, and a new commission by San Antonio’s Chris Sauter will transform the McNay’s Tobin Exhibition Galleries. These four installations inspire viewers to think about their place in the larger cosmic sense, as part of a vast, infinite universe. Immersed will reflect San Antonio’s longstanding commitment to innovation in the arts and its warm embrace of artists whose work compels us to see the world in new and soul-stirring ways.
