The Studio, a creative interactive space, will feature resident artist David Alcantar’s The Superman Project to highlight how interpretations surrounding power have defined American heroism using the iconography of the Superman character as a tool for discussion.
Born in Laredo, Texas, David Alcantar received his Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from the University of Texas at Austin and his Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Alcantar lives and works in San Antonio.
