Artist Drew Morros teaches participants the basic skills necessary to create an original, hand-sewn tapestry using a modified pojagi technique. The class moves from conception through to the finished product by learning to look at patterns and shapes in the architecture of the McNay, implementing the basics of patchwork geometry to create a template, and utilizing simple sewing techniques.
Two tapestries by Drew Morros are currently featured in the exhibition Marion Koogler McNay’s Legacy .
