SUMMER 2019 SESSIONS

SESSION 1: Pop Portraits
July 15–19

Kids get up close and personal with portraits in the McNay Collection and featured exhibition Andy Warhol: Portraits. Mix colors, experiment with pattern and texture, to create a portfolio of painted portraits.

SESSION 2: Eco-Build
July 22–26

Recycle, upcycle, artcycle–just a few ways kids repurpose materials to create 3D sculptures. Campers collaborate and build additive and subtractive sculptures with non-traditional materials.

SESSION 3: Say Cheese – SOLD OUT!
July 29–August 2

What do photographs, screenprints, and cyanotypes have in common? Light! Kids learn about photographic techniques to create art. In addition, campers experience insider access to exhibition Warhol: Portraits.

SESSION 4: Animation Creation – SOLD OUT!

Back by popular demand, stop-motion animation! Craft a story, build characters and sets, and record a stop-motion film. Final cuts will be screened in a theatre setting at the McNay.
