ABOUT:
Celebrating its 27th year in 2023, the McNay Print Fair remains the only event of its kind in the state and region. This year, 15 dealers from around the United States will show and offer for sale thousands of prints, drawings, watercolors, and photographs during the two public days of the Fair in the Leeper Auditorium Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7. The Fair is a wonderful and unique opportunity for collectors, new and seasoned alike, to see beautiful works of art, meet and get to know dealers respected for their expertise, and perhaps go home with a new treasure. McNay Curator of Prints and Drawings Lyle W. Williams will also be on hand during the Fair to answer any questions visitors may have.
The Fair will have something for every taste and budget. French landscape prints from the 1800s, powerful images of American life from the 1900s, and contemporary graphics by today’s artists will all be on view and available for sale. Whether visitors buy or not, however, they will have the chance to see and learn about fantastic works of art in a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere, learn about how the art market works, and perhaps even participate as a collector in that market.
This is an exciting opportunity that comes around only once a year at the McNay so we hope everyone in San Antonio and our region will come and be a part of this fun and informative tradition.
