Members Only Virtual Tour: Marion’s Bequest

Wednesday, September 2, 2020

5:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Upon her passing in 1950, Marion Koogler McNay left her collection of more than 700 works of art, along with her Spanish Colonial-Revival-style home, the surrounding 23 acres, and an endowment to establish the first modern art museum in Texas. Four years later, the McNay Art Museum opened its doors to the public. Join Curator of Collections Lyle W. Williams and Head of Education Kate Carey to discover Marion’s original bequest.
