Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead (1990), starring Gary Oldman and Tim Roth, offers a witty and offbeat take on Shakespeare’s Hamlet, focusing on two minor characters caught in a world of confusion and absurdity. As they navigate their uncertain roles, their philosophical musings and sharp dialogue bring fresh meaning to the story.
Presented in conjunction with the special exhibition, Designing Shakespeare through the Ages, this screening explores the space between existence and meaning.
