Give to the McNay Library

Your generous gift in support of the Library and Archives helps to preserve these vast volumes and records, and ensures that they remain available for scholarly research in the years to come. Although primarily geared to support the museum staff and docents, the Library is open to and welcomes the general public. The Library and Archives routinely serve scholars, graduate and undergraduate students, educators at all levels, high school students and others with an interest in the visual arts.

Three Ways to Support

There are three ways to support the McNay Art Museum’s Library and Archives (Options 1 & 2 fully tax-deductible):

  1. Contribute funds to purchase a title from our list of books wanted by the library.
Click here to review the titles on our Books Wanted List.
(Your name will be placed in a bookplate in the front of the title(s) you fund.)
  2. Send a general cash donation. Please complete the attached Cash Donation form.
  3. Donate titles not on our Wish List. Due to limited space we are unable to accept all book donations however, we are happy to consider donated materials if they fall within the guidelines of the Library’s Collection Development Policy.  We request that you prepare a list of the titles you would like to donate, including author, year of publication and format ahead of time and send that to us. The Book Donation List form is provided to assist you with this process.

Your donation may be made in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one. A bookplate will be placed in the book designating the donor and honoree. An acknowledgement will be mailed to the donor and honoree or their family.

Thank you very much for considering the McNay Art Museum Library & Archives for your gift!
