The Semmes Foundation Curatorial Internship

The McNay Art Museum offers a ten-month internship in curatorial work, with emphasis on helping individuals interested in embarking on a curatorial career. Significant experience in one or more areas of specialization, including work with the permanent collection and with temporary exhibitions. Applicants should have a master's degree in art history, strong written and oral communication skills, computer skills, and a reading knowledge of French or Spanish. Tobin Foundation Internship in Theatre Arts

The McNay Art Museum offers a ten-month internship working with one of the country’s premier collections of theatre set and costume designs, paintings, and print collections. Interested individuals must have completed a master's degree in theatre history or art history. Requirements include strong written and oral communication skills, computer skills, and a reading knowledge of French, Italian, or German. This is a paid internship and includes a benefits package. Unpaid Internships

Undergraduate and graduate students from area colleges and universities may request internships for academic credit in many departments of the Museum. Committed to providing career-oriented learning experiences for these students, the McNay staff assigns them projects appropriate to their background and interests and that will further the department’s current priorities. Students are responsible for arranging academic credit with their advisers.
