Programming Lectures, Gallery Talks, and Performances
The McNay offers a variety of lectures, exhibition talks, films, and tours circulating around permanent and touring exhibitions in the museum. Available throughout the year, these events are hosted by museum staff and guest artists and provide the public with the opportunity to expand their knowledge of art. Families
Inspired by art in the McNay collection or exhibitions, children and accompanying adults participate together in activities designed especially for families. These fun-filled educational opportunities run on a monthly basis in the form of Family Days held on the first Sunday of every month and various Family Activities available throughout the year.

Educators
Teacher Resource Center (TRC) - Committed to enhancing visual arts instruction in classrooms, the Teacher Resource Center for Visual Art (TRC) at the McNay offers free teaching resources, videos, slides, online lesson plans, and a computer station with a scanner and internet access.

Teacher Programs - The McNay offers state certified Continuing Professional Education (CPE) certificates for all teacher programs and for some public lectures and gallery talks. Look on the calendar for programs offering CPE credit.

Students
Student Group Visits - Including McNay Docent-led Tours and Self-conducted Student Group Visits, these tours provide students of all ages an opportunity to expand their knowledge of art. Educators must bring one (1) adult chaperone for every ten (10) students under 18 years of age, whether the group is docent-led or self-conducted. Other Student Opportunities - The McNay provides High school and college students the opportunity to receive community service volunteer hours for working at McNay education programs.

McNay Library
The library is a non-circulating fine arts research facility that serves the museum staff and docents as well as the museum visitor for reference and fine arts related research. Although primarily geared to support the museum staff and docents, the library welcomes the museum visitor during public hours.
