Sample a wide range of Mexican dulces from the famous Mi Tierra Café y Panadería at ArtFULL Wednesday, November 29 at noon. The inspiration for this month's Food for Thought comes from Chuck Ramirez's monumental photograph of the tri-colored dulce de coco now on view in the exhibition Chuck Ramirez: All This and Heaven Too. Third generation chef Cariño Cortez demonstrates how to make some of Mi Tierra's famous candies and reports of the huge quantity of hand-crafted sweets that they make at their famous Market Square location.
ArtFULL Wednesday: Food for Thought is a monthly series free with your museum admission or membership. Adults $20; Students, Seniors, and Military $15; free for members, and teens and children under 19.
