installed on the museum's grounds on March 11,
2008. Victoria’s simplified but sensual
modeling gives life and personality to the cast-metal

Sculpted in 1906, Gabrielle Dumontet’s bronze
depicts the mythological character Medusa’s tormented
face surrounded by her infamous hair of serpents. Small incandescent
bulbs illuminate each serpent’s mouth.
